Excerpt:

You Said Yes

What happens when you tell

of the unspeakable shame that keeps you up at night?

What happens when you do exactly what

they don’t want you to do?

Will disobedience hurt more that the

Lifetime you spend locked in lies?

Will anyone be willing to hear your truth,

or will you be dismissed for having too big of an imagination?

I will tell you what happened to me after

sixty years of living lies, and pain.

I told!

I spoke my truth to you.

Two hundred women who said “Yes!”

Two hundred women who set me free.

Written after receiving a standing ovation when Susie read, “Life Poem” at a Spiritual Woman’s Breakfast – August 2008
